What NDIS transport involves
Transport support gets you where you need to go: medical appointments, shopping, day programs, work, TAFE and community outings. Trips can be one-way, return or recurring, and support before, during and after the trip is available when you need it.
Our wheelchair-accessible vehicles have ramp access, room to stay seated in your own chair if you prefer, and space for up to four passengers plus the driver — so a family member or support worker can travel with you. How transport is funded depends on your plan, which the NDIA decides.
What's included
- Ramp-access, wheelchair-accessible vehicles
- Up to 4 passengers plus the driver
- One-way, return or recurring trips
- Support worker assistance before, during and after
- Appointments, shopping, programs and outings
NDIS transport around Baulkham Hills
Baulkham Hills is a mainly residential suburb in the Hills District, about 28 km north-west of the Sydney CBD, largely within The Hills Shire with a small section in the City of Parramatta. Baulkham Hills Junction, where Windsor Road, Old Northern Road and Seven Hills Road meet, sits in the suburb, which is bounded to the south by Junction Road near the Hills Motorway.
Common trips from Baulkham Hills include Westmead Hospital (Westmead) for appointments, Grove Square for shopping, the Parramatta NDIA office at Ground Floor, 2–12 Macquarie Street, Parramatta NSW 2150 and Bidjigal Reserve. Tell us the pickup and drop-off, day and time, and whether anyone is travelling with you.
Baulkham Hills doesn't have its own railway station, which is one reason door-to-door transport matters for many people who live here.
Accessible transport is Sydney-wide, with our home base in Western Sydney.

NDIS transport in Baulkham Hills: common questions
Can you take me from Baulkham Hills to Westmead Hospital?
Yes. Medical appointments are among the most common trips we do. Book one-way, return or recurring trips, and let us know about mobility aids and anyone travelling with you.
Do you provide NDIS transport in Baulkham Hills?
Yes. We support people in Baulkham Hills 2153 and nearby suburbs such as Northmead. Which worker can help, and when, depends on the days and times you need, so tell us your suburb and routine when you enquire and we'll confirm what we can arrange.
Can I stay in my wheelchair during the trip?
Yes, if you prefer. The vehicles have ramp access and space for small to large wheelchairs.
How is transport funded?
It depends on your plan. Some plans include transport funding in Core Supports, and transport that's part of another support can sometimes be claimed with it.
