What daily living support involves

Daily living support is everyday help on your terms: personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, household routines, community access, medication reminders and transport to appointments. Where possible you'll see the same worker, so routines stay familiar.

It is usually funded as Assistance with Daily Life in Core Supports. How much support your plan covers is decided by the NDIA.

Daily living support around Seven Hills

Seven Hills is a suburb in Greater Western Sydney about 33 km north-west of the Sydney CBD, within Blacktown City and the City of Parramatta. It has a shopping centre, Seven Hills Plaza, and neighbours Blacktown, Toongabbie, Lalor Park and Kings Langley.

Daily living support in Seven Hills fits around the places your week already includes — the weekly shop at Seven Hills Plaza, appointments at Blacktown Hospital (Blacktown), or time at Grantham Heritage Park.

Seven Hills is served by Seven Hills station (T1 North Shore & Western Line; T5 Cumberland Line), so appointments further afield can be planned with a support worker travelling alongside you, or with our transport service.

Household routines are set up around your home in Seven Hills and the people you live with, and adjusted as your needs or plan change.

Questions

Daily living support in Seven Hills: common questions

Do you provide daily living support in Seven Hills?

Yes. We support people in Seven Hills 2147 and nearby suburbs such as Baulkham Hills, Toongabbie and Prospect. Which worker can help, and when, depends on the days and times you need, so tell us your suburb and routine when you enquire and we'll confirm what we can arrange.

Can daily living support include shopping at Seven Hills Plaza?

Yes. Shopping is a common part of daily living support — writing a list, getting there, choosing and paying. If you shop at Seven Hills Plaza, a support worker can come with you or, where your plan allows, help with it for you.

Will I see the same support worker?

Wherever possible, yes. A familiar worker who knows your routine makes daily support easier.

Is daily living support the same as personal care?

Personal care is one part of it. Daily living support also covers meals, household routines, medication reminders and getting out to appointments.
