What NDIS transport involves

Transport support gets you where you need to go: medical appointments, shopping, day programs, work, TAFE and community outings. Trips can be one-way, return or recurring, and support before, during and after the trip is available when you need it.

Our wheelchair-accessible vehicles have ramp access, room to stay seated in your own chair if you prefer, and space for up to four passengers plus the driver — so a family member or support worker can travel with you. How transport is funded depends on your plan, which the NDIA decides.

What's included

  • Ramp-access, wheelchair-accessible vehicles
  • Up to 4 passengers plus the driver
  • One-way, return or recurring trips
  • Support worker assistance before, during and after
  • Appointments, shopping, programs and outings
Local to Prospect

NDIS transport around Prospect

Prospect is a suburb about 32 km west of the Sydney CBD, mostly in the City of Blacktown with a small part in Cumberland City Council. It takes its name from nearby Prospect Hill, contains Prospect Reservoir within the Western Sydney Parklands, and neighbours Blacktown, Seven Hills, Pemulwuy and Wetherill Park.

Common trips from Prospect include Blacktown Hospital (Blacktown) for appointments, the Blacktown NDIA office at 8 First Avenue, Blacktown NSW 2148 and Prospect Reservoir (Prospect Nature Reserve). Tell us the pickup and drop-off, day and time, and whether anyone is travelling with you.

Prospect doesn't have its own railway station, which is one reason door-to-door transport matters for many people who live here.

Accessible transport is Sydney-wide, with our home base in Western Sydney.

NDIS transport in Prospect: common questions

Can you take me from Prospect to Blacktown Hospital?

Yes. Medical appointments are among the most common trips we do. Book one-way, return or recurring trips, and let us know about mobility aids and anyone travelling with you.

Do you provide NDIS transport in Prospect?

Yes. We support people in Prospect 2148 and nearby suburbs such as Seven Hills, Blacktown and Marayong. Which worker can help, and when, depends on the days and times you need, so tell us your suburb and routine when you enquire and we'll confirm what we can arrange.

Can I stay in my wheelchair during the trip?

Yes, if you prefer. The vehicles have ramp access and space for small to large wheelchairs.

How is transport funded?

It depends on your plan. Some plans include transport funding in Core Supports, and transport that's part of another support can sometimes be claimed with it.
