What NDIS transport involves

Transport support gets you where you need to go: medical appointments, shopping, day programs, work, TAFE and community outings. Trips can be one-way, return or recurring, and support before, during and after the trip is available when you need it.

Our wheelchair-accessible vehicles have ramp access, room to stay seated in your own chair if you prefer, and space for up to four passengers plus the driver — so a family member or support worker can travel with you. How transport is funded depends on your plan, which the NDIA decides.

What's included

  • Ramp-access, wheelchair-accessible vehicles
  • Up to 4 passengers plus the driver

NDIS transport around Liverpool

Liverpool is a suburb in South Western Sydney about 40 km south-west of the Sydney CBD, on the western bank of the Georges River. It is the administrative centre of the City of Liverpool, with its main shopping area on Macquarie Street and neighbouring suburbs including Warwick Farm, Casula, Moorebank and Lurnea.

Common trips from Liverpool include Liverpool Hospital (Liverpool) for appointments, Westfield Liverpool for shopping, the Liverpool NDIA office at Ground floor, 211–231 Northumberland Street, Liverpool NSW 2170 and Whitlam Leisure Centre (Woodward Park). Tell us the pickup and drop-off, day and time, and whether anyone is travelling with you.

For some trips, getting to Liverpool station (T2 Leppington & Inner West Line; T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line; T5 Cumberland Line) is all that's needed — a ride to the station and a support worker for the platform can be a step towards travelling more independently.

Accessible transport is Sydney-wide, with our home base in Western Sydney.

Questions

NDIS transport in Liverpool: common questions

Can you take me from Liverpool to Liverpool Hospital?

Yes. Medical appointments are among the most common trips we do. Book one-way, return or recurring trips, and let us know about mobility aids and anyone travelling with you.

Do you provide NDIS transport in Liverpool?

Yes. We support people in Liverpool 2170 and nearby suburbs such as Warwick Farm. Which worker can help, and when, depends on the days and times you need, so tell us your suburb and routine when you enquire and we'll confirm what we can arrange.

Can I stay in my wheelchair during the trip?

Yes, if you prefer. The vehicles have ramp access and space for small to large wheelchairs.

How is transport funded?

It depends on your plan. Some plans include transport funding in Core Supports, and transport that's part of another support can sometimes be claimed with it.
