What this actually looks like
A support worker provides direct, hands-on assistance with everyday life — personal care, daily routines, and getting out into the community — as distinct from a support coordinator, who helps manage your plan rather than deliver care directly.
- Personal care
- Daily living assistance
- Working alongside family/carer arrangements already in place
Support workers who work directly with NDIS participants are required to hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Practical, human support.
